Maxine Twamley, 90, Hoople, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, at First Care Health Center in Park River.
Services were held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Grafton, on Tuesday, Nov. 22. Interment will be in the spring at the Hoople Cemetery.
Maxine Carol Delorme was born Nov. 18, 1931, at Belcourt, daughter of Louis and Jane (Zaste) Delorme. She was married to Walter Martinson until he passed away, and then to Merlin Twamley. She owned and operated Shananigan’s Family Restaurant in Grafton during the 1980s and 1990s.
She is survived by her children, Gail (Monte) Martinson, Grafton, John (Dot) Martinson, Mandan, Jacqueline (Marlon) Ramsrud, Park River, and Kristi ( Vernon) Tollefson, Hoople; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings, Sylvester (Marion) Delorme, Glen (Loretta) Delorme, Phillip (Phyllis) Delorme, Leo ( Viola) Delorme, Dallas ( Renita) Delorme and Ronnie Delorme.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; sons, James Martinson and David Twamley; siblings, Jake Delorme, Donald Delorme, Raymond Delorme, Steven Delorme and Betty Delorme.
