Hwy 197 railroad crossing in Bemidji to be closed for construction

BEMIDJI — The railroad crossing on Highway 197 in Bemidji near Washington Avenue South will be closed starting Monday morning, Sept. 26.

Work crews will be repairing the crossing, and it's expected o be closed for five days, weather permitting.

During the closure, motorists will detour through Washington Avenue South, Roosevelt Road and Paul Bunyan Drive Southeast.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions and follow traffic signs in work zones.
