Richard Letzring, 84, Cavalier, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022, at Wedgewood Manor in Cavalier.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, Sept. 9, at St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church in Cavalier.
Richard John Letzring was born Feb. 12, 1938, in Grafton to Ernest and Elsie (Conner) Letzring. He grew up in Cavalier and graduated from Cavalier High School in 1956. He married Phoebe Kuehner on Jan. 19, 1957, in Seattle, Washington, where they lived for a short time. Upon returning to Cavalier, he worked with his dad in the construction industry before beginning his career with Mayo Construction and Cavalier Supply. He reopened his dad’s construction company which he operated until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife; children: Bret (Melody) Letzring, Grand Forks, Tracy (Constance) Letzring, Loveland, Colorado, and Jim (Kim) Letzring, San Diego, California; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Geraldine (Howard) Kaercher and Joyce Blinderman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerome; and sisters, Rita and Madonna.
