Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, October 22, 2020, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon for Gayle I. Slama, 63, of Langdon, who passed away October 19, 2020, at her home in Langdon. Inurnment was at St. Clotilde’s Cemetery, Milton.
Gayle Watt was born May 28, 1957, in Grafton, to Ronald and Elda (Aune) Watt. She grew up in the Milton area and graduated from Milton High School. She married Wayne Slama on August 2, 1975 in Hitterdal Lutheran Church. They made their home in Langdon where she did home day care then worked at Maple Manor as a CNA and in activities. She enjoyed decorating for every season and making seasonal gift baskets for her grandchildren. She and Wayne liked to spend time driving in the country in the fall to look at all the fall colors. She also loved to work in her flower garden in the backyard and spend time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Church and altar society.
Surviving Gayle are her husband, Wayne, of Langdon; sons Jeremy (Heidi) of Mekinock and Shawn of Cando; grandchildren: Blake, Emily, and Trysta; foster grandchild Akaydia; and siblings: Karin (Tom) Toston, Lowell (Brenda) Watt, and Jeff Watt. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Corey Slama.
