Marvin D. Lykken, 91, Grafton, passed away on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at his winter home in New Port Richey, Florida.
Memorial services will be held at Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton and scheduled at a later date. Interment will be in Grafton Lutheran Cemetery this spring.
Marvin D. Lykken, son of the late Selmer Lykken and Dagmar (Sather) Lykken was born Oct. 7, 1928, in Grafton. In 1946 he graduated from high school in Grafton and attended college at the University of North Dakota. Marvin enlisted in the Army and served in the 1st Armored Division from March 1951 to March 1953. Upon his discharge, he returned to Grafton. He married Bonnie Lou Littlejohn on Nov. 29, 1953. The couple lived briefly in California before returning to Grafton.
Marvin started a construction business and built numerous homes in Grafton and the surrounding area. He later worked for the City of Grafton before retiring.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
