County dissolves Justice Center Committee

It was the end of an era at the Pennington County Board meeting Tuesday, Nov. 12. Commissioners approved dissolving the Justice Center Committee.

The committee had been tasked with handling items related to the construction of the Justice Center. The Building Committee will now handle items related to the Justice Center.

County Board approved the 2020-21 Natural Resources Block Grant agreement. The agreement covers eight grants totalling $127,666. The grants help cover such things as local water management and septic treatment systems upgrades.

Commissioners approved the 2020-21 Feedlot Work Plan. As part of the plan, the county is required to inspect 7% or more of the 44 feedlots located in the county.

County Board formally approved transferring Shadron Cooper to the position of dispatch supervisor. Cooper started his new position Friday, Nov. 1.
Commissioners approved transferring Jodi Olson to a full-time corrections officer position, effective Wednesday, Nov. 13.

The next County Board meeting is scheduled Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. at the Justice Center.
