Live-action 'Ms. Marvel' coming to Disney+

Kamala Khan, welcome to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that a live-action Ms. Marvel series will be coming to Disney+, with Bisha K. Ali (Four Weddings and a Funeral) serving as writer and showrunner.

Though the Ms. Marvel moniker has been used by various characters over the years — originating with Carol Danvers in 1977, back in the days before she was Captain Marvel — the new series will focus on the most recent Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan.

The character is a Pakistani-American teenager from Jersey City, and the first Muslim character to headline her own Marvel comic. She is gifted with shapeshifting abilities thanks to her Inhuman genes.  Read more...
