Last week the Middle River Community Theater (MRCT) was very busy! Ten children came together and learned about drama. They learned through games and imaginary play. This camp was geared for students who had completed first through third grades.
These students had the unique opportunity to be thespians in two short plays: “Waking the Daffodil” and “Confusion at the Castle”. Throughout the week and during “practices”, many surprises were seen, especially since for many of the campers this was their first acting opportunity outside of school productions and concerts.
It is often a challenge for students to memorize lines for one play, let alone two, in a week, but they all worked very hard and the final performance on Friday was amazing!
