Funeral services were held Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Heartland Community Church, West Fargo for Judith Antoine, 72, Casselton, who died on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Essentia Health, Fargo.
Interment at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery.
Judith Kay Kartes was born January 27, 1945 in Langdon to Frank J. and Olivia J. (Hell) Kartes. She attended grade school at Mount Carmel and graduated from St. Alphonsus High School in Langdon. She moved to Minneapolis, Minn. where she attended beauty school. In 1970, Judith married R.J. “Tony” Antoine. They were married for 25 years, in that period of time they lived in Minneapolis and then moved to Casselton. They owned and operated Antoine Chevrolet, AMS Mfg & Sales and AMS Answering Service. She later worked at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo and did homebound cosmetology. She loved her family, Jesus, grandchildren (especially babies) and kitties. She enjoyed Bible studies and debate over religion and politics.
She is survived by three children, Andrew of Houston, Texas, Peter (Tanisha) of Horace and Michelle of Rolette; five grandchildren, Elisha, Reaiah, Micah, Jirah and Matthias; five siblings, Gloria Johnson, Fargo, Carl (Ivy) Kartes, Walhalla, Ben (Marie) Kartes, Seattle, Wash., Gary (Gloria) Kartes, Seattle and Lee (Linda) Kartes, Tacoma, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, Ivadell Gapp, Betty Loreth, Parnell Kartes, Pat Kartes, Darrell Kartes and Michael Kartes.
